The Basilica di San Marco

San Marco Basilica is the most important and wonderful Basilica in Venice, this is a unique monument as for its historical richness as for its architecture. This is located in Piazza San Marco and itís connected to Campanile or Belfry and Ducal Palace which is near Grand Canal. It is a well-known example of Byzantine architecture and there you can find the best artworks of Italian and European artists.

The Gallerie dell' Accademia

The Gallerie deíll Accademia is an arts school and it is considered one of the most important museums in Venice and in the world; it keeps a lot of Italian art from the XVIII century. It is located in the Dorsoduro sestiere, district of Venice. There are exhibitions of Giovanni Bellini, Giulio Carpioni, Pietro Longhi and Sebastiano Del Piombo art.

The Gondola

Gondolas are the traditional Venetian transport. They were the unique ways to go from one place to another in the past but nowadays there are Vaporetti and Traghetti, which are public transport and are cheaper than Gondolas.

The Frari

The Basilica of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari is one of the largest churches in Venice. You have to visit The Frari or Frati Basilica after San Marco Basilica. There are many authentic master artworks such as the marble statue of San Juan Bautista made by Sansovino, a wood statue made by Donatello, the unique art work of Donatello in Venice, Antonio Canova monument and others.

Do Mori

Do Mori is a completely genuine bar, no tables, seats and this place served a good wine and delicious food. This bar is located in a tiny street near Rialto Marked but it is not difficult find it. It is as friendly as you will find in Venice.

Paradiso Perduto

Paradiso Perduto is a place where you can find beer, wine and good food and it is located in Fondamenta della Misericordia, Cannaregio.

The Island of San Pietro

Go to Island of San Pietro, it is nice and you will find a San Pietro church and its Campanile walking down the Via Garibaldi, nowadays repairing boats is the main activity in the Island of San Pietro.


Torcello is a city inhabited by 100 people though there were 20 000 people in the fourteenth century. Although the population in Torcello is minimal, the first cathedral in Venice is still here.

San Giorgio Maggiore

San Giorgio Maggiore is located in San Giorgio Maggiore Island in front of Piazzeta, it is the perfect church, and its bell tower gives the finest bird-eye view of the city. It was built by architect Andrea Palladio.
