Venice is home to a multitude of museums and art galleries. Below we have a list of the many museums that are open to the public. In addition to these permanent exhibitions, there are numerous special exhibitions taking place throughout Venice during the calendar year. The opening hours are listed below are the latest available times of the major tourist museums and monuments, but bear in mind that they are prone to sudden, inexplicable alterations, especially in winter, when afternoon opening hours are frequently truncated. An asterisk after the price indicates that a concessionary rate is available for students who can prove their status; under-12s are entitled to reductions at nearly all attractions, provided they are accompanied by an adult.

Baron Franchetti�s collection on display in one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Venice. Important group of sculptures, bronzes, paintings (Mantegna, Giorgione, Tiziano, Guardi) and Flemish and Dutch art.

Museo Correr
Piazza San Marco, Ala Napoleonica.
The museum offers a compelling tour of Venetian history and art. Most noteworthy are the painting gallery, with 14th to 16th-century mainly Venetian masterpieces, Neoclassical section with collection of works by Canova, the precious historical institutional collections, studies of urban development and of everyday life.

Ca� Rezzonico
Museum of the Venetian Settecento (18th century). Works of art, furniture, interior furnishings. Masterpieces by Guardi, Canaletto, Tiepolo, Longhi and others.
On 3rd and 4th floors, important Venetian-school paintings from the 15th- to 20th-century, part of the Martini Collection.
Open 10am-6pm (last admission 5pm).
