Florence Travel Guide

Buying picnic food

There are also many markets and small food shops selling a alternative of mouth-watering local produce and artisan goods. One great way to probe real, simple Italian food is to purchase a selection of the tastiest looking vegetables, cheeses, meats and breads available and have an informal picnic in some of the city's quieter areas.

The Boboli Gardens, it is a special garden, found behind the Pittia Palace, is one of the largest and most elegant Italian style garden. There are many sculptures and sights found all around the garden, and a cafeteria selling refreshments. The park is accessible to disabled people. This is a great place to take a break from the city and relax amongst all the beauty in the garden. It is a good idea, to take a little rest in this special place and eat an informal picnic.
