Lunch and dinner in Italy

Lunch and dinner are common in Italy, but they can be something else, because of the delicious dishes that the Italian cuisine offers.

“Lunches in Italy” can be planned according to: the day, the breakfast you ate and the dinner you will have. Local restaurants usually serve lunch from 12 pm to 2 pm, but you must be careful because if you arrive too late you won’t have lunch.

If you want to have a nice lunch in a friendly place, you can go to a traditional Tratoria. A Tratoria is a family restaurant well-known for the quality of its food and for its warm attention.

Ristorantes are other options if you want to have lunch with more style, they serve a full meal and many different dishes, but it is an expensive option. If you want a quick lunch because you do not have time or you want a cheaper meal you can go to a small place that sells a slice of pizza or go to another place for a panino.

“Italian Dinners” begins at 7:30 pm, but the traditional one starts around 8: 00 pm, when the Ristorantes open their doors. The courses are listed in the Menu or “la Lista” and each dish has a little description of what the course have and how does the chef prepare it.

Dinner has Primo Piatto, Secondo Piatto and Dolce. The Primo Piatto consists in the entrance and can be a soup or any kind of entrance, the Secondo Piatto is the main dish of the menu, it generally has pasta on it, and later the delicious Dolce or desert that is one of the specialties of Italians.
