Opening hours in Italy depend on the kind of business, the season and it sometimes depends on the city. Here we give you some advice to consider while planning your trip to Italy.

Most shops are closed on Sunday but you can find at least one shop open; shop opening hours are not rigorous in many cities in Italy, like in Tuscany where shops can be closed in the afternoon until around four, and then stay open for three or four hours and usually work only half-day on Wednesday.
Bank opening hours are regulated by law, they open at 08:30 and close at 13:30 for lunch. They open again in the afternoon at 15:00 and close at 16:00 from Monday to Friday. There are banks that open on Saturdays.
Post offices in Italy works from 08:30 to 13:30 every day of the week except Sundays.
Restaurants generally open at 12:00 and close after lunch, at 14:30; some restaurants also open at night, from 19:00 to 23:00
