The weather in the city is unsettled and conditions vary depending on the region and time of the year. The temperature is usually pleasant because of the Northern Alps. Summer is usually hot and winter is very cold especially in mountains. The temperature raises and there is a warm wind that comes from Africa in autumn and spring, this time is excellent to visit Italy.

Genoa has a Mediterranean weather because of the Atlantic influence; this means that summers are very hot; the temperature varies between 21 C and 28 C with some rainfall. Winter begins with intense rainfall and snowfall but after that, it becomes much less cold though windy. Autumn is the rainiest season in Genoa and the temperature drops consistently. Springs are warm although windy, the temperature is around 7C in January and 24 C by middle August. The driest month is July, and rainfall is abundant in October and November.
