Italy Architecture: The Greeks and Etruscans

Constructions were built using wood, plaster, unbaked brick, terracotta, and metals for decorative details; in ancient times there wasnít any difference between architect and constructor thatís the reason why nowadays there is not much information about the names of architects because they were treated like any other craftsman or tradesman.

Architecture in Greece began with the construction of small houses, and then they developed bigger houses, and walls around the villages.

Over the time more temples were constructed, the Parthenon is one of the most famous, and Greeks began to build using Ionic, Doric and Corinthian Styles in public buildings around the country.
